What the heck. This has been a crazy week. I said goodbye to my father, and crazy stuff is happening, but I'll get to that later.
This
week was a lot of helping Elder Stone prepare to go home. We didn't do
as much missionary work as we probably should've, but I've repented and I
can promise that this next upcoming week is going to be a grind. I'm
definitely super excited to get to work.
Elder
Stone gave a fire farewell talk and departing testimony in the weekly
Mission Devo, and his last District council. He got a little teary eyed
all 3 times, and I'll admit, he got me a little choked up during his
talk and his departing testimony. During the district council, he almost
got all of us in the district crying like I was in the mtc again, but
we don't need to bring that up. He gave a training about bearing
testimonies and had all of us, including President bear our testimonies.
It was super powerful and I'm super grateful for the opportunity to have
witnessed it. I'm definitely going to miss Elder Stone and I hope the
best for him in the real world.
Now
for the crazy stuff. We found out that the Elder that left Portmore
last transfer is getting emergency transferred to come back to Portmore
again, and be comps with me for the next 2 weeks before the transfer
ends, and he'll be the new district leader to replace Elder Stone. So
I'm super hyped for the next 2 weeks, and I'm excited to see what
happens when the next transfer starts.

Spiritual Thought:
This
week's message is going to be on Charity. An invitation given to us
recently was to pray to charity in every single prayer we say throughout
the day. As missionaries we say a lot more prayers than I ever did back
home, and originally I thought it was a little weird to pray for
charity over my peanut butter toast, but nonetheless I did it, and Wow.
The differences I've seen in the last week or so have been crazy. Before
I started doing this I would get frustrated easily with the little
things like waking up, a comment someone said, being ignored in public,
etc. However I've started to see a difference in how I view the world,
and starting to see it more as Christ would when he walked the Earth.
The worth of souls is great in his eyes, and we have to treat everyone
has so. I bear witness that Jesus Christ loves each and every single one
of us. He knows our situations, and prepares us for what we're going
through. I know He can help us in our daily life and daily doings, and I
say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
