Bye Mobay

Well it has been a week for sure. Lots of fun times grinding it out here trying to find people to teach. It's been challenging for sure, especially when it's a billion degrees outside and humid. Nonetheless, the work will move forward, and so will we.

We found a super cool lady the other while exploring our area. she lives in the hills and kinda far away, so i loved seeing the view from up there. Her name is Kerry and she is super cool and smart. We gave her a Book of Mormon and came back a few days later. She had read the introduction, like we had invited her to, and had tons of questions about it. We spent tons of time explaining everything to her. She was very accepting, but a little skeptical as well. She told us that she had a dream about a week or so ago about Moroni visiting Joseph Smith and couldn't believe how crazy the coincidence was. God is real!!

Now for the title of the email. It's been a crazy 48 hours let me tell y'all. We were sitting in our apartment in the morning making sure our appointments for the day were still going to happen, when we realized that we had a lot more people in our phone than we usually had. We called the sisters in Mobay to try and figure out what was going on and they told us that we were taking over their area and moving into their apartment. Let me tell ya, the sisters are spoiled out here. They have reclining couches and a stove that ignites by itself!! Literal heaven on earth! So we moved all of our stuff into the new apartment, being the excited elders we are, snacking on the absurd amount of snacks they left behind, literally living the life out here. Then all of a sudden, we got a call from the Zone Leaders last night telling us that we were getting emergency transferred to a new area called Hopeton, which is like a 4 hour bus ride away from where I'm currently at. It's a really hard area in the mission, and it's definitely a little nerve wracking that they're trusting me and my comp, who hasn't even been in Jamaica for a full month yet, to go and white wash a hard area. Well survive, but it'll be a challenge for sure. Anyways, we were supposed to get on a bus at 3:30 to get to our new area, but we didn't know what time the bus left, so we got there way too late. Anyways, we missed the bus and now were leaving tomorrow.

I'm actually really sad that I'm leaving Montego Bay behind. I grinded my heart and soul out in this area, just for it to be taken from me after 2 weeks. However the Lords work will get done no matter where I am. I'll survive with the Lords help.
