Me deya pon da work of Jah

Wah gwan me generals, wah yuh deya pon. Me ne fi write an email bu me can't boder wi dat yuh ze me. Anyways hope y'all are doing fantastic wherever you may be in the world. I've been doing good. Just a crap ton of walking. The Lord really said I was getting fat when he needed me to walk for more than half of my day, everyday, after driving for 2 transfers.

Anyways, work here is going decent. It's a slow area so we're trying our best to keep the work up and visit as many people as we can, including members. We still haven't met a lot of people that the other Elders left us so we're trying to get a hold of them to set some stuff up. The work is slow but good for sure.

Highlight of the week was definitely on Thursday. We have a senior couple that work my area and the area next to us. They help us out a lot and they're super cool. They're just like my grandparents except not thousands of miles away from me. They called us at just the right time. All of our stuff fell through and they had a member that they were trying to reactivated asked us to come . He likes to play sports so they decided to create a make-shift pickleball court with balls and paddles that they brought brought the states. As soon as we got to the church to set stuff up, he told them he couldn't come anymore. So we decided we'd still play for a half hour and see if we could get some people off the street to come play with us and find some people to teach. We had a much better turnout than I thought we would, and ended up staying an hour or so longer than we were planning to. 4 or so people showed up and they loved playing it. Nobody hear has even heard of pickleball so it was a cool and new experience for them. The light on their faces as they hit the ball each time, whether it was a good hit or not, definitely made my week. We've decoded that we're setting time apart each week to do this and have the same experience over and over again.

I'm also getting pretty good at making some of the Jamaican food out here. My chicken Curry is definitely improving each time. I tried to make rice and peas last night and it was pretty good, but I can only go up from here and I got 18 months left. So I'll be able to make some nice food when I come home. Y'all better be nice to me or ya won't get any.

That's about it out here in Mandeville. I love you all and I hope you've had a fantastic week. Email or text me and tell me about it:)
