Hey yall, whats up!? I hope yall are having a fantastic time and that everything is going well with all yall. I hope everyone has a good Halloween and that none of you get fat from all the candy you'll be eating. Halloween is hype and I wish it was celebrated more internationally, but oh well
Here's some highlights:
-3 week msf drop. We're basically starving this week
-had a super good lesson with our friend Andrea. We were VERY bold with her about keeping commitments and coming to church. She came to church and it paid off. Following the spirit leads to miracles for sure
-Finished our Restoration scripture Jeopardy game. Shoutout to the Constant Springs team for taking the dub
-Went on an exchange with Elder Gordon. He's from Moapa. If any of yall can tell me where that is I'll bring you a bigga whenever I come home. He's super cool and it's been a minute since I served around him. I learned a lot for sure! On our way back to Kingston to end the exchange we somehow took like 5 hours to get there, which is like 2 hours more than usual. We ended up sleeping on couches again. I didn't realize that I'd become so familiar with one night stands on the mission. We had 7 people in the apartment for the night and absolute chaos went down. Good memories for sure though!!
-Got the Morant Bay Elders in their new apartment. It doesn't have AC yet, so please keep Elders Asay and Mangum in your prayers
-had an actually super cool Visit with our blind member in the group, bro graham. Usually in the past he's had a very grumpy old man kind of attitude and I didn't enjoy going over there very much. We ended up not going over for like 2 weeks because we got super busy and we just didn't want to visit him. This time though, he was super happy and not grumpy. He had some questions about the restoration that we helped answer. We also were talking about how big the gold plates really were and we moved his hands so he could know about how big they were. I think he really enjoyed this experience and so did I. He had a super big smile on his face that really just made my day at the end.
-Did a baptismal interview for the daughter of someone I did an interview for a month or so ago. It's crazy to see how much joy and strength this Gospel brings to our relationships!!
Spiritual thought:
I was reading in 2 Timothy 2:11&12 for "Come, follow me" this week. I really liked the message that it brings about standing as a witness of Christ so that He won't deny us. It reminds me of Mosiah 18:8-10, which simply lays out the baptismal covenant. We promise to stand as a witness of God in all things and in all times and in all places that ye may be in, even until death. We must do our best to represent that covenant at all times. Never have a moment that it can be interpreted to denying Christ.
Love yall, big up yuhselves!
