Wah gwan. Hope yall are doing well. Pretty good week. I'll get into the highlights already and cut the small talk
Highlights:
●zone conference. For all of those who actually read these and care about me, my training went pretty well I'd say. I don't feel like I'm allowed to hype myself up about it, so you'll have to ask the rest of the Zone. We had a training about putting people on baptismal date as soon as possible to give them something to work towards.
●had an exchange with Elder Sadler from Logan. He's an absolute dawg. This exchange felt like I was just on a 2 day Ling camping trip with one of the boys. All the goofy, fun, and serious talk all in the same time. I learned a lot from him and I hope I could provide some learning experiences for him as well. We definitely put the baptism training to good use. Our area was closing at the end of the week, but we still threw 3 people on date *swinging arm snaps*
●Last fire district Council. We practiced how to effectively come in contact with Seventh day Adventists and help them understand Christ's doctrine in an uplifting matter that isn't contentious. I'd say it was a good one to end the transfer on
● fire Thanksgiving. Made a giant pot of rice and peas and a giant pot of curry. Legend has it that the Yallahs Elders are still trying to finish it. We also had pudding, rolls, and sparkling cider to top it all off. Pics will be included down below
● Had a lesson with one of the people we put on date, Clover. Before we put her on date, she was super deya about everything and we were about to stop meeting with her. After we put her on date though it got her thinking about everything. The lesson after we put her in date was just reassuring everything. She wanted to live thr best she could but was just stressed on how to do it and things like that. We definitely helped her a lot, but we had a recent convert call her later and helped even more
● had a baptismal interview for my boys Down pon di boulevard. This guy is crazy elect. He's read the Bible and called out his pastor for not letting his church align with the Bible. He searches up on the internet a church of Christ international, sees ours, finds the nearest one to him, travels to it, now he's getting baptized next week.
●had our last church service in Dalvey. Everything was focused on faith and acting on it. They have to travel probably 3 or so hours to get to church since they closed the group. They're hopefully going to get the group open in Morant Bay soon so it's only 1.5 hours. Keep them in your prayers for true
●we got transfer news. I'm leaving the thriving bush of Dalvey to go and be a zone leader in constant springs, One of the areas in Kingston. I'm actually super excited to go there. It's been one of the areas I've wanted to serve in for a while now so it's going to be hype. I've got a dawg for a comp. He's from Moapa Nevada. If anyone can tell me where that is, I'll buy you a oreo mcflurry in almost 13 months.
Spiritual thought:
Recently I've been studying and thinking a lot about baptism. It's crazy how powerful and special something so simple truly is. It allows us to repent and be forgiven and seek power from an extraterrestrial source. Who wouldn't want that? Anyways, highly recommend being baptized if you aren't already.
