Morning everyone, hope yall are doing well as always. We're back at it again this week with another email. This week was very interesting to say the least. We got transfer news, and transfers within it. Definitely is different compared to our old way of getting news on Saturday night and leaving the area on Tuesday. Anyways, I found out that I was going to be leaving Constant Springs already. Its a little sad because I'd been wanting to serve in this area for a while, and I only got 5 weeks here, but I'm happy that I got to spend the time that I did. My new area is May Pen, and im still a ZL, just for a different zone. It's over towards my old area, Hopeton, that I was in about 5 or so months ago. This new area has also been one that I've been wanting to serve in as well, so the Lord is definitely blessing me. However, I hate learning new areas and where everything is, and where the taxis go, and learning new members and just everything about it. The first week in a new area is almost always the worst week for me of the transfer. I'm learning the area faster than usual I'd say though. I've definitely gotten used to it after doing it 5 times previously. My new companion is Elder Wilson from Rexburg, Idaho. He's a dawg and a really hard worker, so I'm excited to be with him for sure!
Anyways, now into the highlights:
- We met with Bro Lewin in Constant springs for the last time. He's probably the member that I'm the saddest to leave. He has such a string desire to do good and to do what the Lord needs him to do. I hope I left him on a high note
- God blessed us this week with a lot of people who are ready to hear the gospel. In both areas we've been finding a lot of people who have definitely been prepared to grow closer to their Savior
- I said a lot of goodbyes to a lot of people, members and friends, who I've grown decently close with in the month I was here. I trust that the missionaries there will take care of them
- Meeting all the people in the new branch. This is easily the strongest branch in Jamaica with like 80 active members, which is just as many people as my last WARD. Meeting everyone and hearing their testimonies was awesome.
- Last minute Sunday evening before the mission devotional, we had one of our District Leaders in Mandeville call us and tell us that he has a baptism coming up this week that got handed to him by the senior couples, and that they needed a baptismal interview done. Elder Wilson and I hurried over there and did it. By the time that, and the mission devotional was over it was too late to go home. Naturally, we pulled another one night stand. It was pretty lit. Mandeville is one of the only places in the island that has the ultra monsters, so of course your boy had to get a couple of them
Spiritual thought:
3 Nephi 5:13
"Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."
This verse is a bar. I've been thinking about it a decent amount recently, especially since I hit 1 year on the mission tomorrow

I've been so blessed this last year to learn how to become a better disciple of Christ, and how to bless my life, and the lives of others because of it. I'm very grateful for my Lord and Savior, and I know that He can help you overcome ALL things as you trust in Him.
Big up yuhselves,
Elder Turnbow
