Wah Gwan

Wah gwan. Another week of hard work. Something I've been trying to work on recently is getting super excited about getting out and working. Imagine a little kid giggling in a candy store kind of excited. I've definitely seen the fruits of it already. We've had more things that desirable fall through on us and it makes doing them annoying and rough things more pleasurable. We've also been working with the district leaders to help the zone push the Key Indicators for conversion more. When you look at as helping more people come unto Christ, and not as a number, the more you get, the more people come unto Christ. The Zone has definitely been seeing the fruits of their labors. The people coming to sacrament meeting and people getting on date are close to double from when I first got here. Anyway, enough chat. Let's roll the highlights.

During one of our lessons with Crystal and Henry, we were discussing on whether or bit they were gonna be able to come to church this last weekend. Crystal keeps on saying yea, but the Henry reminded her that they had a funeral. She goes "oh sh**" and proceeds to gasp, put her hands over her mouth and starts crossing herself almost instantly. While she starts doing this, Henry starts laughing and falls out of his chair and hits the ground dying laughing. It's memories like this that makes me think I'm gonna miss this place

Another one night stand over in Mandeville for another baptismal interview. We also went over the senior couple's apartment that evening and they gave us actual ice cream (not the weird waterd down stuff) and some candy that's normal in the states, but kind of expensive here. The Krewson's are lit.

We started meeting with a family that met with missionaries a couple years ago. Their surname is the Cummings and they're pretty cool. We met them by Elder Wilson challenging the son to a 1v1 in basketball. Elder Wilson lost, but it's for a good cause. We've been playing basketball with the kid and his friends on pdays now, and it's pretty lit. Elder Tanner can confirm I wasn't very good at basketball before but I'll be better when I get back.

Besides that's not too much has been happening.

Spiritual thought:
Elder Wilson and I had a weird idea to watch part of the John Tanner movie on Gospel Library with Crystal and Henry this last week. We watched it on our own beforehand to see if it we should show it, and I forgot how powerful it is. I think the last time i watched it was summer before freshman year when Nana and Papa sat my cousin and I down on our trip to the East. John Tanner lived his life in a way that he didn't look for what he could get out of situations, he looked for what he could give in situations. He lived the law of consecration to the fullest. It made me ponder a lot about what I can do to live the law fully, and magnify the covenant I made with the Lord. I've already seen fruits of it, and I'm sure I'll see more as I keep on going this next year. Give the video a watch if you have time.

Big up,
Elder Turnbow
