Grinder

Welcome back yall. Another week down for the books. This week was full of grinding and grinding, and a little bit more grinding. I've felt like ive truly figured out the meaning of losing yourself in the work. It's too the point where the whole p-day, instead of going and playing sports with the people in my 6-man, I'd rather go out and find people that are ready to make covenants with their Heavenly Father.

I don't remember if I said this last week or not, but our zones got split up, and so they combined a district from my last zone, and a district from another zone made a new one. We've got some solid areas in this zone! I'm excited to help everyone out and bring forth fruits unto the Lord. It's definitely put a little bit of stress on me, but I know that the Lord will pull through. While reading Come, follow me, I've truly come to love and appreciate Nephi and his trust/faith in the Lord. All things are truly possible as we look unto him, doubting not, and fearing not.

Highlights:
- We had an MLC this week. I enjoyed this one a lot more than others because I feel like I actually learned stuff that will help me, and the rest of my zone learn how to find teach and baptize. We went over our weakness in moving people through the Key Indicators, which are currently getting new people at sacrament meeting each week, and having the people we give baptismal dates to actually getting baptized. We broke it down really deep to the very base. For instance, we shouldn't be trying to find baby mama's that live far away from the church with 0 fare, but rather those that have means a desire to get to church. Of course we have to talk to everybody and share the gospel with everyone. But if they cant/won't come to church we can't help them make covenants with their Heavenly Father

- We were out street contacting one day and we had a pretty cool miracle. A little bit of background info first. After MLC we decided we would talk to, or yell at every house that had a car in the driveway or out front. So we were out in the bush doing so, and we ran into this girl named Mona. Mona is one of our Recent Converts best friend. The RC was actually telling my comp about her friend previously and had just never gotten around to giving us her phone number. So it was quite the shock when Mona told us about how the RC was one of her best friends. We haven't been able to meet with her since, but she'll hopefully progress nicely.

- Transfer day sucked. It's so unprecidactable so you don't know what you have time to do, so you don't do anything and it's just hard to be effective and it's honestly just aggravating.

- We found a nice area that just breeded people that would be Branch Presidents if they weren't JW or some other denomination. Hopefully the Lord will soften their heart to more truth so that either us, or other missionaries in the future will be able to help them come closer than they already are. It's also cool to see how close some churches are to the truth. There was some random church that a guy told us he was apart of that I'd never heard of, but you could tell by the way he talked to us, talked about his family, and just acted that he was a disciple of Jesus Christ

- We had a breakthrough lesson with one of our friends named Ackelia. For whatever reason, we had previously beaten around the bush from teaching her the full restoration lesson because we didn't feel it was her need. But we taught it recently and she like fully understood and grasped what we were saying. That's rare around here. She said she was coming to church with her baby fada this next week. Keep her in your prayers!

Spiritual thought:
God is real. God heals our weaknesses, and let's them become our strengths. Humbling ourselves to His will is the best way to find true joy in happiness in this world and in thr next. I love my Lord. I know that He suffered and died for my sins. I know that He also rose again, so that I can rise again. I owe everything to Him. Being out here and giving Him my all is the least that I can do. I've loved my mission. I'm loving who I am becoming.

I love you all

Sincerely,
Elder Turnbow
