Wah apm. Good week. It can honestly be shortened into 2 points
Highlights:
- Called an unholy amount of people. The referrals just don't stop coming. Ever
- We had the district president join a couple lessons with us. Chances of the entering into covenant relationship has grown. For sure
- there we were, sitting on the veranda of one of our friends. The guy living on the property in the house came up to us and told her we couldn't teach her because she has potty mouth, and a couple other things in bush patwa that my brain didn't fully process, while he was making slitting throat motions. We tell him that's not appropriate and goes to around to his apartment thing. We say an opening prayer with our friend. Man comes back and tells us that he doesn't want us on the property anymore. Friend and man get into an argument that very quickly turned into her going in her house, closing the grill, and the man picking up the chair she was sitting on and trying to stab her with it. Jamming the legs through the grill and everything. It was at this moment we knew that we had to leave. The rough part about the whole situation, besides like her life lowkey being in danger was that she was on date to get baptized in like 2 weeks, and now we have like no way of contacting her, and we can't go back, so she's basically dropped now. It wasn't too sad though because my companion and I weren't very confident in her ability to pass the baptismal interview.
Spiritual thought:
The Book of Mormon has been hitting recently. I'm like desperately behind on my Come, follow me and trying to catch up has been really joyful. I forget time and time again how much power that book has to convert myself to Christ, as well as our friends. 10/10 would recommend
