Looking back, I don't really remember what happened this last week. We got some good work done here, and the area is pretty cool. I have a lot of funny moments with my companion since he's learning English and doesn't know how to fully express himself or other things properly yet.
I went on an exchange with Elder Parker. He came to Jamaica the same time as me but I've never really served around him or got to know him very well. We had a very jam packed day and we had a lot of good discussions that I think definitely lit a fire in them. When they weekly planned, they doubled their MPL goal from this last week. I got faith that they can hit.
One of our friends, Peta-Gaye, is having trouble with her family over a variety of different things which include meeting with us. Even without the support of her family, she's still willing to meet with us and continue her journey towards baptism. She's definitely a big role model to me about what Jesus Christ can do to people. Her date is on the 21st of April and I couldn't be more excited. She came to the Sunday afternoon session of conference and I think the spirit definitely spoke to her about the importance of basically everything. Keep her in your prayers!!
We had district P-day which was lit. We had everyone gather at the church and played basketball and had a little barbecue. Twas fire
Spiritual thought:
Amidst all the fire conference talks, I really liked Elder Dushku's (I think that's what it was) talk about receiving rays of revelation instead of pillars. It made me reflect on my own rays and how I can continue to look on them and recognize the growth I'm having.
I love you all. Big up!
Elder Turnbow
