Wah gwan. Let's get into it
Highlights:
- had an orientation meeting in Kingston for my comp, even though he's been in the mission for like 3 months now. It was nice to see my good ol' pal Elder Block though from work, and all the other missionaries in the mission.
- drove into Kingston the next morning to get my car checked out and to do a little bit of servicing. Nothing crazy, just took up time.
- had in-person district Council. It was good to see everyone and we talked about more effective ways to be finding people and helping then keep commitments on first contact. We tried it in our area and we have some things within it to figure out, but we'll get it fine tuned.
-we've been struggling to find some real cool progressing people so we went on the grind and we found a couple here and there. Hopefully it'll all be good.
- I went on an exchange with Elder Darton, one of the Elders in the apartment with me. We had a good day and we practiced different ways of starting conversations that end with the best results
- we had stake conference on Sunday, and we were able to see a ton of missionaries. The stake all used to be in the same zone, but with a split that happened a transfer or so ago, we aren't anymore. So everyone was there.
- we had our area president come yesterday and do a mission tour with the mission. A good majority of the missionaries from the misson were there and it was cool to see everyone that I hadn't seen in a little bit. The messages in general were a little underwhelming and almost basic. I didn't really catch anything too crazy new.
- did a couple of baptismal interviews as well. It's pretty cool to see how people have changed because of the gospel and how it's blessed their lives. Highly recommend getting baptized If you arent already
Spiritual thought:
Something I've been focusing on this transfer is humility. When we truly let the Lord prevail in our life, were blessed. It's definitely hard, but the blessings are worth it. If you don't believe me, I'd highly recommend readinf the scriptures and looking for it. You mkst likely won't get through a page without noticing it in some aspect
