Another week in the life of a missionary. This last week was nothing crazy. I'm in my new area, Spanish Town. Its alright, nothing crazy so far. I just miss my old area right now. However, the work will go on
The first half of the week consisted of finishing my time out in May Pen strong. This has easily been my favorite area on my mission. In my short time here of 3 months, I've built my strongest member relationships. I've also felt like I truly gave it my all, so I'm glad to be leaving it the way I have. Saying all the goodbyes were tough though
One of our friends here on Spanish Town got baptized this last weekend. His name is Andrew Welsh and he's an interesting guy. He's like 40 years old and he's like pretty socially awkward. He's cool though and he's willing to make covenants with God so that's all that matters in my book. It's been a while since I've been able to take part in one and I've forgotten what it's like to confirm someone. One of the bishopric counselors confirmed him and when he said "receive the Holy Ghost" I could like feel the spirit go like through my arms and my hand and go to him.
This ward has 2 families that feed the missionaries on a weekly basis. One of the families is named the Hymans. They're really cool and have been members for a long time. You can tell how much they love the gospel and how much of an impact its made in their life. I'm excited to get to know the better. Bishops family is the other one that feeds us. He runs a cook shop and he makes some fire food. He also is super willing to help the work progress so I'm glad to be working with him as well
That's about it for this week honestly. Nothing crazy. Let me know what's going on with all yall. I'd love to hear from you!
