War Zone

Nothing too crazy this week. Kinda slow to be honest and didn't get the results we wanted. It'll change next week though.

Highlights:
- its officially full swing into mango season. We have a tree in our backyard and I've probably eaten like 4 or so a day bare minimum. They're actually fire here. So much better than the crap ones from the states

- went on an exchange with the ZLs and Elder Hamblin came with me to Spanish Town. We had a good time and it kinda helped me get out of my "deya" stage I've had this transfer

- went on another exchange with Elder Reis from Brazil. I lived with him last transfer and it was good to do missionary work with him. He's been placed in a interesting area with a very hard companion so we had some good talks about how to help himself, his area, and his companionship. He's a great Elder though so I'm not too worried. They killed the week after the exchange

- there's been some gang violence going on recently. The police killed like the head of a gang on like Friday or Saturday this last week. Because of that, the gang has been retaliating and there's been a couple of shootings since then. We had to delay our friends baptism til next week because of itπŸ˜πŸ™„  We had to be in lock down for like the 2nd half of the day Friday, and we only had 1 hour of church because of it has well. Bonus was that we got permission from president to leave the zone so we could go shopping since the closest area to our apartment is in the zone over. We got to go to my favorite place, pricesmart, again and see one of my favorite members from there again that I met when I served there about a year ago. Well see how proselyting goes this next week.

Spiritual thought:
I've been trying to center my studies around the lessons I teach, so I studied a lot about the characteristics of God this week. God truly does love all of us, and He wants us all to return back to Him. He sent His son to live and die for us so that we could return back. Yes, He may seem a little strict at times, but its only because He loves us and wants us to inherit all that he has.
