Wah gwan. I hope everyone is doing well. It's been a good week. Nothing terrible, but nothing absolutely crazy.
Highlights:
- Jaheim and Gabriel got baptized. The service was good, even though they showed up about an hour late, and then they almost missed their confirmation at church the next day. We apparently still haven't figured out that you need to sweep the font out before you fill it, so I basically had to go swimming to get most of the loogie looking things out of the water. Thank goodness that you still get forgiven of your sins and spiritual filth when your baptized, no matter how dirty the water is.
- Went on an exchange with Elder Harris. We had a good time and I learned a lot about how to be more genuine with people, and how to show them I actually care about them.
- In-person district was good. went back to the basics and helped me learn more about why the Book of Mormon is so important.
- We had probably our last interview with President Odonkor before he goes home. It wasn't anything crazy. Mostly just advice on how to help my comp achieve his full potential. He also told me that my hair was too long and that I needed to get it cut when I had literally gotten one like 2 days before. Apparently if it's not buzzed, it's not short enough these days. We got complimented on how clean the apartment was though, so that's a plus.
- We had a couple of new people come to church this last week. Hopefully some baptisms come soon!
Spiritual thought:
The restoration of the gospel is crazy. Everything just makes so much sense. All of the blessings from old are literally just in our hands right now.
