Ya mon

Wah gwan everyone welcome back to a new week here in Jamaica. We're coming at you kinda live from like a weeks worth of updates.

Highlights:
- District P-day for the last week of the transfer. We had the usual good stuff going on such as cooking and sports. I was definitely blessed to have a fire district this transfer

- Dropped off a member of my district who is going home this week in Kingston so he could get going. RIP Elder Jean Baptiste. We off course had to send him off the right way in district council by singing "God be With You Till We Meet again" as well

- I got one last day with Elder Finau before the transfer ended. We had some good times grinding. I'm really going to miss him. Even though I couldn't really understand him fullly, and he couldn't understand me fully, he was able to show me what true Christlike love is. I hope that I can figure out how to show that more in the upcoming transfers, and the rest of my life.

- Transfer day consisted of my 16 month mark and a crap ton of driving. I left around 9:30 in the morning and didn't get back around 6. We then proceeded to have a member meal. It was a good day, but not necessarily productive. I also got to say goodbye to an Elder Saetre, he'll go home before I see him again

-Tracy sent me some G-fuel, so I've been cracked out of my mind on caffeine lately. My tolerance has gone down crazy since I was  back home drinking at least a monster a day. I was lowkey bouncing all over the place and couldn't sit still

-We had a returning member come out with us for a little bit. Bro Baker is a dawg. He came back home from his own mission a couple of years ago. I was able to learn a lot from him in the couple hours he was out with us

- The Clayton family hosted a Family Home Evening with our most recent convert, Peta-Gaye, as well as the rest of her family that will be getting baptized in about 2 weeks. The Clayton's planned a great restoration lesson too to help everyone understand

- went up to the bush to teach a family. Quite a beautiful scenery

-Mothers day went crazy. Bishop Miller is a chef, and so he cooked food for everyone. It was amazing. I definitely ate a little bit too much.

Spiritual thought:
I've been studying the restoration lesson in Preach My Gospel the last couple of weeks, and I've been learning about the Great Apostasy and the restoration. It's crazy how it's so complex and so simple at the exact same time. I've been reading bits and pieces of M Russell Ballard's book called "Our Search for Happiness" and I love how he teaches it. We don't claim that everyone else is wrong and that the LDS church is the only correct one, but we rather express love. All churches are good. They preach and teach of Christ. We just wish to expand their knowledge of the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us, so that everyone can receive a fullness of joy.

Love yall. Big Up!
Elder Turnbow
