This week was a mess but good.
Highlights
-Last minute at the end of P-Day, we got invited to a farewell dinner for President and Sis Odonkor. It was a good time to say goodbye to them all.
- My companion and I picked up the new mission President, President Britton, and his family. While we were waiting, the old mission president was lowkey bashing a pentecostal pastor and it was amazing. Arnie is the goat.
- We met with Pres. Britton and had a good little meeting about overall general stuff. He's got some good things in store
- Pres Britton wanted to introduce himself, his wife, and his 4 kids to the missionaries all last week. We had little zone by zone meetings all over the island; it involved a decent amount of driving. It was nice to hear their plans and ideas for everyone. It was also cool to see literally the entire mission in a 3 day period. It's crazy how much behind the scenes work that we had to do to get all of this stuff done though.
- During one of these said meetings, I got to try some of the famous jerk chicken from the tent in Port Antonio. That stuff is gas. Pics will be included
- We're about to teach our rasta friend who's on date for baptism the plan of salvation.
Spiritual thought:
I've studied a lot about ministering this last week and I've realized how vital it truly is. Everyone wants to improve themselves and become better, sometimes it's just hard for them to improve in a poor environment. As we minister, we can help others feel loved and create that environment where they can improve as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Love you all,
Elder Turnbow
