It's a doozy!

Hello everyone!

This week was a little bit of a doozy

Highlights:
- Had 2 exchanges this week.
     - First one was with Elder Walton. I haven't really served around him in over a year since my baby area. It was a good exchange and it's crazy to see how much he's changed in the last year. Night and day from then to now. We had a good time reminiscing about the good (disobedient) times and not knowing how to do missionary work
     - Second exchange was with Elder Cruickshank. He's from Guyana and he's pretty cool too. I've never really served around him before so it was good to get to know him.

- Our office lady that usually deals with buying flights and arranging hotels and stuff like that went to Panama for a temple trip. So we've taken over her role as well. To say the least, I will never be a travel agent, and my future wife will be planning and booking every single vacation we go on.

- Our recent convert, Veron Sutherland, came out proselytizing with us 3 times this week and he's eating up missionary work. He loves coming out and talks all the time about how he has so much to learn.

- We got a facebook referral from a guy that was interested in the Book of Mormon. We called him up and apparently he's been reading it for 5 years, and has never met with the missionaries. He's kind of an interesting bro, and he marked up the weirdest lines that I would have never expected. Such as "It came to pass" and things like that. Maybe he's just on a higher spiritual level and I'm just not catching the vision he's seeing.

- We got a new branch president this last sunday and he's got fire. He's on special assignment from the stake since we have like 0 Melchizedek Priesthood holders in the branch. He served his mission here in Jamaica like 10+ years ago and supposedly (heavy emphasis on the "supposedly") baptized like 100 people, which is outrageous for Jamaica. Somehow we're going to assist him into making our branch a ward in the next 7 months. I'm excited to see what's going to happen.

Spiritual thought:
2 Nephi 26:24
I've loved seeing the characteristics of Jesus Christ, and by effect, Heavenly Father himself. I love reading about how much They truly do love us and are willing to help us progress. "He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world;" It can't be much better than that. The better question is, what are we doing with everything that's being done for us? Are we doing what They're asking? Are we showing our love and our appreciation for what They've done? Self reflect and improve

Love you all,
Elder Turnbow
