Busy

Sorry for missing yall last week. It's been a dousy and honestly I'm kind of exhausted. Between running all over the island, making sure Zone conferences are running smoothly, and trying to run my area as well has been difficult to juggle the last couple of weeks. We definitely aren't seeing nearly as many results as we've been wanting to, but alas life goes on. Please be praying for our friend Devon. We found him going home to home contacting a week or so ago. His family has been struggling a lot and he honestly needs the saving grace of Jesus Christ right now more than any other time. It would mean a lot if yall would.

Highlights, but more like standout events, or random pieces of information from the last 2 weeks:
- Went on 2 exchanges. One with Elder Lauti from Samoa in Kingston. The other one with Elder Cruickshank in May Pen, which is my old yaad. The one in May Pen was the first time leaving my area for an exchange in almost 7 or 8 months. I got to see some old members for probably the last time before I go home.

- Couple of errands to get beds and things figured out for greenies that came in

- Picked up 3 greenies

- General Conference is always a banger. I really enjoyed Brad Wilcox's and Elder Utchdorf's talks.

- I received my flight plans

- Lots of driving and picking up and dropping off Elders that came in from the Bahamas, and driving cars to give to the off Island Sisters.

- Got my first ever ticket. Honestly it was all Bro Sutherlands fault. I was slowing down to a yellow light, and last minute, as I'm almost stopped, he yells "Gwan Gwan" so out of instinct or something like that I stop pushing the brakes. My front wheels are over the line at right as it changes from yellow to red. I'm turning right from a one way onto another one way, so I know there are no cars coming and that this is a safe turn. The second I make the turn I see a cop waiting for some idiot like me to make that mistake and waves me to the side of the road and gives me a ticket, even though my wheels were over the line. After I receive it, Bro Sutherland has the audacity to say "yellow means slow down". Believe me when I say that I've never turned around so quickly to say "Bruh you literally told me to gwan, what do you mean?" He was pretty quiet for the rest of the car ride.

- 3 Zone Conferences. Elder Lassche and I gave trainings in 2 of them on how we can unite with members more and use the new "Sharing the Gospel" resource in gospel library. Give it a look if you haven't. Random thought, but lately since I've been having to make sure the speakers/microphones/tech stuff works and running to pick up lunch for zone conferences, It's been really hard for me to sit down and focus on learning and feeling the spirit. Hopefully I'll be able to manage that all better soon.

- Drove to Montego Bay and stayed in an all inclusive hotel. Surprisingly it was one of the cheaper ones in a touristy area. The food wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be though.

- Got monsters

- Zone P-days were held today and I got to go to 2 of them. Pretty fun stuff.

Spiritual thought:
Daily nourishment is literally so important. I can't grow a testimony, or even maintain one, without it. Sometimes with all the running around that we've been doing I forget to even study my scriptures. Then I turn around and expect all of the people I talk to do the same thing. Even a couple of minutes, 5 or less, could make a meaningful impact on the joy we feel in our everyday lives. I encourage all of yall to improve this with me

See yall,
Elder Turnbow
