Yep, that about sums it up. My last full, normal week as a missionary just occurred. It was a nice week where we honestly just got after it and had fun along the way. Being a missionary is just awesome. You can't have experiences like this doing anything else. I'd highly recommend it to anyone else who's even considering it
Highlights:
- This lady, Verna, came to church a couple weeks back but we never got an appointment set up to visit her. We finally got one set up and she's actually dope. Understands and wants to get baptized into Christs restored church. Prayers for her. The funny side is that she has a husband from the DR. He strictly speaks Spanish, she strictly speaks English. I don't know how to works. Basically I put my 4 years of Spanish class to work and it was literally awful. I was trying to think in Spanish, but for whatever reason patwa was the only thing coming to mind. I went to the dark corners of my brain to pull out a "Hola como estas?" instead of a "wah gwan you good?".
- I got a patwa New Testamant. It brings more joy to my life than any other earthly thing. My future wife might have to compete with it lowkey
- I started reading Saints vol 2 during Elder Meservy's language study. church history is crazy for real
- We had a really spiritual restoration lesson with our friend Ashley. She's Courtinique's (Our friend that's getting baptized next week) little sister. It's been a while since I've felt the spirit that much during it. I hope she recognized it as well. Prayers up for her.
- We met an inactive member since 1995 that got baptized when she was around 16. The light in her eyes when we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon was unforgettable. "I never thought I'd get another copy of it"
- One of our Recent Converts got put int holding by the police...
- Stake conference was on Sunday and it was lit seeing members from 4 of my areas.
Spiritual thought:
I'm out of time for this, but pull up to my homecoming on Dec 8th for a good one. More details soon come
